5G Remote Access Gateways

The Problem

Audio Visual networks are often air-gapped from the client’s corporate LAN, typically for simplicity, reliability and ease of network configuration. In many instances, physical and/or IT requirements prevent a dual-NIC remote access machine from traversing both the AV network and the internet facing client-network. There might not be an available network drop near the AV switch, or the client may have strict requirements regarding the machines that connect to their internal network.

Our Solution

We can deploy dedicated IoT gateways on T-Mobile’s expansive 5G network that give us secure, independent access to the AV network without touching the client’s corporate infrastructure. This means instant reliable remote access for troubleshooting, updates, monitoring and more, without needing to coordinate VPN access, corporate device management, or more strict requirements from IT. The gateways are compact, and fees for them can be included in service contracts or purchased and deployed independently. Rack-mountable solutions with built-in remote access machines are also available.

Use Cases

In addition to service, maintenance, and monitoring, 5G access can be useful for sites that make internet access difficult during system commissioning. Integrators can opt to leave the 5G access in place for future service, or leverage it on the next install.
